RTOS/TDA3XEVM: How to use fast boot usecase?

HI,

I am using usecase csi2_cal_multi_cam_view to do development , 

and I follow VisionSDK_UserGuide 3.10 (quick start use case) in order to improve boot speed.

Q1: Fast boot Use case is 1CH  but I need 4CH  , How to solve this situation?

Q2 :Is there any other suggested method to fast boot usecase csi2_cal_multi_cam_view?


Linux/AM3352: About Ethernet 10 & 100 Mpbs compliance test

We used latest SDK for development,

As we know, TI's PHY can set the test mode to do compliance test.

If we want to do Ethernet 10Mpbs compliance test and PHY doesn't support this test mode,  could CPU set the configuration to output the signal ?

if yes, does TI have any sample code ?

CCS/TMS320C6678: C6678 NDK not working after reboot the tcpip stack

I use ccs8 / ndk3.40.1.01

After NDK stack is successfully brought up, receives an IP address,

connect via telnet Issue 'reboot' command ,  

it got error ----> mmFree;double free

and , it can not restore the ip interface, it is not pingable....................

I disable all the cache ,but it is still the same,,,,

AM5708: Max McASP bit clock

it is stated that the maximum bit clock is 50MHz.

However looking in the TRM and the datasheet for AM570x I can not find the specification for that clock.

Where should I look for the specification?

Basically I would like to use the McASP block to continuously fill a 4-bit wide shift-register at 20MHz bit-clock. Is using the McASP a good approach for this or would I be better off using some other interface?

Linux/TDA2EVM5777: Self converted JDetNet model doesn't show same FPS with pre-installed JDetNet model

Hi,

I downloaded JDetNet model from github and converted that model.

In TIDL OD usecase, the installed JDetNet model that is contained in Vision SDK showed about 20 FPS.

However, the converted JDetNet model shows about 10 FPS and file size was different. 

Moreover, the detected box of vehicle was pink color. The color of vehicle was green when is tested with original model.

I also changed objectDraw link as related post says.

The path of downloaded deploy.prototxt is 'ti_dl\test\testvecs\config\caffe-jacinto-models\trained\object_detection\voc0712\JDetNet\ssd768x320_ds_PSP_dsFac_32_hdDS8_0\test_quantize'  and the name of pretrained model is voc0712_ssdJacintoNetV2_iter_120000.caffemodel.

Is it normal situation?

Linux/AM5718: Kernel crash

Hi Sir,

We have developed a custom board using am5718 processor with the sdk ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.02.00.10. In few SOM cards we are getting the following bootlog and after that everything gets hanged and we are not able to proceed further. In some scenarios this bootlog appears while loading the kernel and at that moment the log gets hanged over theritself and unable to proceed further and enter in to the root and whereas if by chance it entered in to the root and after loading the application we are getting this bootlog and the application vanishes completely. So kindly go through the log below and suggest how to getrid of the crash messages in order to move further.

I am trying to extend my work and want to do image processing on the classes of semseg. In order to do so, I added the Dup_1 and Null link after the tidl_postproc. Something like this:

tidl_postproc-> Dup_1

Dup_1-> Null

and within the semseg, I added this code part to dump the frames  in the chains_semseg_SetAppPrms:

#5. Can you tell us if we can use the AM3/4/5/6 SDK "Create_SDcard.sh" to make a boot-able SD card for AM1808?

#6. We have read the EVM user guide, and the DIP switch 7 seems have no supporting for SD EMMC boot.

      The default is SPI flash boot, so, I assume the Boot code will copy the SD onto SPI flash, right?

This Nand flash is communicated with AM3352 by the module GPMC.I was wondering if there is any issue in trying to use FatFS with Nand flash memory.Are there similar examples and/or documentation related to this case you would recommend me?

Linux/AM5728: PRU start fails

I am using AM5728-based custom card based on am5728-evm, TI SDK 4.1 with kernel 4.9.41 and am57xx-beagle-x15.dts.

I try to boot PRU with TI's existing file ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am57xx-evm-04.01.00.06/targetNFS/lib/firmware/pru/PRU_Halt.out I I am getting "Failed to load program segments: -22" error. I am getting the same error for other files: pru/PRU_RPMsg_Echo_Interrupt1_0.out and ti-pruss/am57xx-pru0-prueth-fw.elf

It looks like the error is due to "remoteproc remoteproc1: bad phdr da 0x0 mem 0x30" - da is 0 and omap_rproc_da_to_va fails to map 0 to kernel virtual address.

Hi,

I see that the task are getting blocked on huge sleep values(like 4294921836), i don't have these sleeps values in the code. 

below is the ROV view of task getting blocked.

When i check in the clock section, i see clocks having timeout of 2ms have tRemaining 4294921836ms, how is this possible?

Hi,

We encounter 2 issues with VGA display in full screen mode on our HW board. In our HW design, the LCD parallel interface (dss_data[23:0] and dss_pclk) is connected to a video ADC (ADV7125) for converting digital signal to analog signal, the ADC is connected to a VGA connector for connecting VGA monitor.

1. The left part of displayed picture (about 15 pixels of width) on VGA monitor is lost.

2. The picture displayed on VGA monitor is very dark, it's hard to distinguish what's displayed on the monitor.

Below is the timing settings in kernel device tree.

So as recommended - we installed PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_07_00_00.

Following the instructions in "VisionSDK_Linux_UserGuide.pdf" we managed to build a fully functional Linux system.

BTW - the script  ./hlos/scripts/linux/mksdboot.sh  should be fixed - we had to manually fix it, since the partitions created were {devicename}p1 and {devicename}p2, but the mount points are set to {devicename}1 and {devicename}2 and this is NOT working on UBUNTU 16.04LS. The ./memcache_load.sh had to be fixed, too - since the kernel module driver ./bin/memcache.ko is not loacated correctly   

Anyway, we run the apps.out application but no OpenVX option appeared.

So, in order to have the OpenVX usecases to be part of the build - I modified $INSTALL_DIR/vision_sdk/apps/configs/tda2xx_evm_linux_all/cfg.mk and set OPENVX_INCLUDE=yes.

Once running again "make –s –j depend" - I got the following errors:

So, what steps are missing in order to build the OpenVX usecases?

AM5718: PRU RXLINK connection

In my application I need to have an EMAC at PRU1 Eth1.

As of now we plan to use this emac interface using DSP. DSP will be using this Ethernet port as a raw socket port.

I would like to have DP83822 or TLK105L as PHY interfaced to PRU1 ETh1 . In the initial version i would go with TLK105L and later would like to replace it with DP83822.

AM5718 PRU1 MII1 has a PRU1_MII1_RXLINK signal.

This Rx link in operated by connecting to COL pin of TLK105 in AM5718 EVM  and possible used to determine link speed.

What can be done to port DP83822 as this feature is not available with DP83822?? Is it mandatory to have Rx_link?? Can i float this input??
