How to implement reset logic on the OMAP-L138 DSP core?

Hi

I am designing reset logic to the DSP core on OMAP-L138 SoC such that it can perform reset to load application from NAND flash. This is to be able to remote update DSP software. 

I am thinking to use one of the GPIO pin of DSP to assert reset by connecting the GPIO to RESET pin of the OMAP-L138 SoC. Is this good idea?
