Hi,

Iam using LCDKOMAPL138 and XDS200 for our new project.Iam facing some  issue with the connection. When iam trying to connect LCDKOMAPL138 with XDS200 (using "Test connection" feature of CCS6),it gives following error

/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This utility has selected a 560/2xx-class product.

This utility will load the program 'xds2xxu.out'.

E_RPCENV_IO_ERROR(-6) No connection: DTC_IO_Open::dtc_io

Failed to open i/o connection (xds2xxu:0)

An error occurred while soft opening the controller.

-----[An error has occurred and this utility has aborted]--------------------

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

The value is '-250' (0xffffff06).

The title is 'SC_ERR_ECOM_EMUNAME'.

The explanation is:

An attempt to access the debug probe via USCIF ECOM has failed.

[End: Texas Instruments XDS2xx USB Debug Probe_0]

/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since it has a two core,I tried to connect with both cores individually

Following are the details of our setup

System:-Win Xp Sp3,32bit

CCS :-V6.0.1.00040 (We cannot upgrade it to higher version because our legacy projects are with 6.0)

Target device:-LCDKOMAPL138

Emulator:-Spectrum digital XDS200

Target config details (From CCS window)

Board or Device:-LCDKOMAPL138

Connection:-Texas instruments XDS2xx USB debug probe

We also tried following options to solve the issue after reading e2e forum

1.Downgraded and upgraded Device driver for Xds200

2.Downgraded and upgraded Device software for Xds200

3.Installed latest emu package 7.0.48

4.Installed all latest tool available for CCS6.0.1.00040 by using "check for updates" from CCS window

5.Used different XDS200 and its cable.

6.Used different USB port available on the PC (Iam not using any USB hub)

Please have a look at this .Give us some suggestions to solve this issue.

Thank in advance

Regards,

Satheesh
