Which BIOSPSP version to use?

We use the C6748 DSP.  Recently a new BIOSPSP version was released, however it appears a lot has been removed (SPI, UART, BLOCKMEDIA, etc).  The release notes are no help in trying to figure out what has changed between the two versions.

BIOSPSP 03.00.01.00   ..or..   BIOSPSP 03.01.01.00?
