[C6747/DA8xx] Question about I2C falling/rising time

Hello,

One of my customer has a question about I2C falling/rising time on C6747 (Actually, DA810).
In C6747 datasheet, the specification of I2C falling/rising time for input case are defined as below.
(The same specifications are also in DA810 datasheet)

As you see, the min of falling/rising time is 20 + 0.1Cb.
But in actual system, many of I2C masters can drive these lines much more faster, and in that situation, it looks like working without any I2C errors.
How can I consider about this ...

  1. Why are these specs defined only for fast mode ?
  2. As for another TI processor, for example, AM335x, there is no requirement for I2C falling/rising time. Should we still have to comply with these specs on C6747/DA810 ?

The same discussion was found here but I would like to confirm the same thing with this thread dedicated for C6747/DA810.
