How to use Performance Monitor in WinCE6.0 OSD for OMAP-L138

In the OS Design for WinCE6.0, there is a Performance Monitor that can gauge the amount of work my application on the ARM is doing in the OMAP-L138 SOM/LogicPD Experimenter Kit.  Using SDCard for boot & both sides of DSPLINK applications.  The following are incomplete instructions that I have:

  1. Project / Properties … / Configuration Properties/Build Options:  Set IMGCELOGENABLE=1, IMGPROFILER=1, and    IMGAUTOFLUSH=1
  2. Build/Make Run-Time Image    (makeimg)
  3. Select Target / Remote Tools / Performance Monitor from the menu.
  4. Select Connection / Connect To Device.

What I need is how you set things up before these instructions, like what cable do you use?  What else needs to happen?  Part of the problem is that I can't get the device to connect to the host.

Could someone please list the exact steps needed from the very startfor getting this to work?  I've seen documentation about the Monitor, but nothing that clearly states how to use it.

A side question is how you measure peformance on the DSP side?  I'm using DSPLINK (command-line build) on the DSP side, not CCS.

Thanks, D.M.
