We are using an OMAP-L138 in an embedded industrial system and we are experiencing some DSP core freeze while the ARM core continues to run properly. The DSP code is freezing randomly.
In the same cabinet than the OMAP-L138, at 200mm away from the OMAP-L138 we have a variable speed controller and a contactor which drives a motor located outside the cabinet.
We found that the DSP freezes occurred when the contactor turn on or off the motor!
In the light of the above link between the contactor action and the DSP freeze I think that the trouble is EMI or electrical interference related.
Has anybody else experienced the same kind of trouble with a C6000 DSP Core or any kind of DSP core?
What kind of low level signal related to the DSP can be the most sensitive to surrounding electrical field strength?
Do you have technical documentation which lists the points on which I must be vigilant when using a DSP in an industrial environment?
