In our design, we would like to disable the main crystal oscillator (giving clock to OSCIN of OMAPL138) once we are in deep sleep. The only way to do that is to monitor something on the board which indicates that the processor is in deep sleep and then disable the crystal.
Is there anything on OMAPL138 that we can externally monitor to confirm that the processor is in deep sleep?
We can decide to pull down the DEEPSLEEP line as the last step in the deep sleep sequence and disable the crystal based on the state of the DEEPSLEEP line, but we are not sure how long the internal state machine of OMAPL138 takes to complete the deep sleep sequence after the DEEPSLEEP line is pulled low.
Thanks,
