OMAPL138 custom board having trouble with the nand flash

Hello all,

I  try to load a simple LED blink program into the NAND flash of my custom OMAPL138 board through CCS and run into some problem. I have a LCDK board and I have compared it with the custom one, finding out the two NAND flash are slightly different, the LCDK uses MT29F4G16ABADAH4 while the custom one uses MT29F4G16ABADAWP, but both have16 bit NAND bus width and 4GB memory.

When I used the NANDWriter_ARM project provided in "OMAP-L138_FlashAndBootUtils_2_40", it is able to read the "ONFI" label for the  the LCDK board, then the flashing process goes smoothly, however, it is not able to read the "ONFI" label for my custom board, then configuration is messed up. I tried to match their hNandInfo, which includes some parameters such as numBlocks, pagesPerBlock, dataBytesPerPage, etc, but it still doesn't work. It seems the CCS is having some trouble reading the information from the NAND flash of my custom board but I don't know what is causing it.

Any suggestion and help are highly appreciated!

Best regards

Dee
