connect JTAG directly to DSP

Hi

i am new in DSPs.

we have a L138 LCDK Board. 2 question :

1) Can i connect to DSP via JTAG independently and develop/debug my software(without any connection with ARM)?

2) L138 has 4 DSP cores. Can i use every 4 cores for developing and debugging my software via JTAG connection?

Please introduce some useful link to do above things.
