Communication rate between the ARM and DSP

Hi Experts,

I was looking at achieving a communication rate of 8KHz between ARM and DSP (via any methods SYSLINK or interrupts) . I am at the initial stages. May i know what is the maximum and minimum rate at which the ARM and DSP could communicate in the OMAPL138? Is it possible to achieve a rate of 8KHz?
