I've been working on getting the ARM and DSP to communicate via interrupts. I ran the Quickstart CSL tutorial and found an interesting problem which I'd like to understand. I'm hoping for some help.
In using the ARM2DSP example, if I load both the ARM and DSP via JTAG before running either one, and then start both processors, the example works fine. However, if I load the ARM and begin running it before I load the DSP, there is a problem. I can start the DSP and run the program and the result is the both processors say they are waiting for the other to begin. So they are both running in their wait loops. I don't understand why.
The interrupts are getting generated but one of the registers (sharedVars->HEARTBEAT) seems to be getting modified outside of the code provided.
Any help in providing an answer is greatly appreciated.
