OMAPL132: ARM core interrupts effect C674x core interrupts

Hi,

I'm dealing with this issue for quite a long time and would be thankful for any help:

I'm working on a custom OMAP-L132 board, dual core application:

- Linux kernel 2.6.32-rc6 based ARM side

- Independent led-blinky C674x ELF executable for DSP.

The problem I see: DSP application seems to be effected by processes on ARM side.

DSP blink is done within a simple task with Task_sleep(5) between blink stages.

when running solely, the DSP blinks in ~1Hz, but when another process is run on ARM side, the blinking frequency increases.

in addition, every change in the terminal (any typing of characters), whether serial terminal or telnet, causes blink state to change.

for example, on the ARM I run "top -d2" (which is top with 2sec refresh rate), and at the very moment of the refresh, the led rapidly switches state, while at the rest of the time the blinking keeps the genuine (~1Hz) frequency.

Questions:

1. Has anyone ever encountered such issue?

2. Do ARM and DSP cores (in OMAP L132) share some sort of interrupt controller whether in hardware or software at any level?

Thanks in advance,

Yehonadav.
