EDMA3: Clarification on the usage of BCNTRLD in A-SYNC transfer

Hi all,

I am referring to OMAP-L138 TRM (spruh77a.pdf) and got confused by one of the transfer examples in EDMA3 chapter. In section 18.3.4.1, Figure 18-22, the example PaRAM entry given uses A-SYNC for transfer, but have the BCNTRLD set to 0. This seems to contradict my understanding of A-SYNC that BCNTRLD being copied to BCNT when a frame completes. To me , it doesn't make sense to have zero for BCNTRLD while CCNT is not 1. Similar example on AM335x TRM has this PaRAM setup as well. Is this a typo in the manual? If not, can someone enlighten me as to why BCNTRLD needs to be set to 0 in the example?

Thanks,

Ang Way Chuang
