Hi,
I've asked the same thing with the following post from my customer, i.e., 50% duty of rx audio frame sync is ok or not when using TDM format.
http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/omap_applications_processors/f/42/t/168482.aspx
And here is my understanding. Correct, right ?

This post is saying that 50% duty of AFSR clock is OK for McASP when the transfer mode is configured as TDM and AFSR is configured as "input". At this point, the configuration of AFSRCTL.FRWID is ignored because AFSRCTL.FSRM
is configured as "externally-generated receive frame sync (0)". On the other hand, this type of transfer format is not allowed when AFSR is configured as "output" because only a bit/word width of AFSR is supported for "internally-generated receive frame sync". I'm mentioning about McASP Rx Part, but the same thing is applicable to McASP Tx Part.
