OMAP L138 LCDK communication with WINDSK8

Hi,

I am an EE student working on Biomedical signal processing project, using OMAP-L138 development kit.

As a part of the project, I need to be able to feed a signal (ECG later, but for now just a simple AC or sound signal) into the analog input of the board (OMAP-L138) and display it on the computer screen, using the "Oscope /Analizer" function of WINDSK8.

1. I have connected the board to the PC through J3 UART-USB port and was able to reflash the board for WINDSK8. When I check the board version, the software recognizes it. When I run the Oscope/Analizer function of WINDSK8, the Oscilloscope window appears. But when I try to input a signal into the board, I don't see it on the screen. The WINDSK8 settings show that the input LINE IN is being used. I tried both: LINE IN and MIC IN. No result.

This is the first time I work with TI LCDK. Maybe I'm missing some steps? Do I need to program the board using CCS in order to just have an audio input displayed ?

2. An additional question is about the board's A/D converter: I can't find in the OMAP-L138 specifications, what frequency range is being supported ? In other words, my input will be an ECG signal that has a frequency range of 1-20Hz. Will it be supported by the OMAP-L138 analog inputs or should I use an additional (ECG A to D) converter for a low frequency inputs?

Thank you
